I Also E-Mailed / Filed A Formal Complaint Filed With The CDC & Florida Department Of Health
 

On March 16, 2020, I was told I would receive a call back from the franchise owner of the Domino's Pizza location referenced below.
I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK FROM ANYONE. I GUESS SANITARY CONDITIONS ARE NOT A CONCERN AT DOMINO'S PIZZA???
 

My Complaint
Listed below is what I told the Domino's Pizza  Headquarters Customer Service Rep. on March 16, 2020.

I have been eating at Domino's Pizza for a very long time. Never a complaint until now. And this is a REALLY BIG ONE.

I ordered a pizza and cinnamon sticks as I always do from Domino's Pizza located at: 836 Lantana Rd, Lantana, FL 33462

Considering how serious the Coronavirus is, I would like to know why gloves are not being worn when preparing the food in Domino's Pizza.

What happens if one of your Domino's Pizza employees' is infected with the Coronavirus? This employee makes 50 salads in a day. They could then possibly infect 50 customers.

The whole social distancing recommendation does nothing, to prevent something as described above.

According To The To Harvard Medical School’s Coronavirus Resource Center:
The virus could conceivably be spread by an infected food worker who doesn’t properly wash their hands after using the bathroom, according to Harvard Medical School’s Coronavirus Resource Center.

“The virus that causes COVID-19 has also been detected in the stool of certain people,” Harvard said. “So we currently cannot rule out the possibility of the infection being transmitted through food by an infected person who has not thoroughly washed their hands.”

NOT WEARING GLOVES!!!
How could something so simple, so common sense be overlooked?

No employee in ANY restaurant should be allowed to prepare food WITHOUT gloves.

We appreciate you reaching out. Food safety is something we take seriously and are following any and all recommendations by the CDC. As a common practice in the food industry, gloves actually are not required for food that has a cooking step. It's importat to note that our food is freshly cooked in a 450-degree oven and then is only handled with tools that are regularly cleaned and sanitized. We hope this answers your questions regarding food safety.

Why can't Dominos 's Pizza GO BEYOND common practices in the food industry. Will it cost Dominos 's Pizza more money?

Do you cook salads at 450 degrees? I don't want ANY Dominos 's Pizza employee touching my food with their bare hands. Maybe they DID NOT wash their hands after going to the bathroom. THAT IS DISGUSTING!!!

I ordered pizzas last night, happy in the understanding you were applying safety measures when delivering the pizzas. However, out delivery guy rang the doorbell and passed the pizzas straight to my husband so less than 1 metre away, no gloves either. We all need to do our bit so get the message to your delivery drivers! We will no longer be ordering from you now as it is unfair to ask us and your drivers to take these risks.

If safety is #1 priority, the food service industry could have had professional testing done for microwaving various take out foods by now, plus it would increase sales & lower consumer fear if you advised the amount of time needed to "reheat" in microwave to kill virus... Why isn't this info on all food service sites.

Just trained your employees that cooks or pizza makers cannot and should not be moving from preparing the pizza to cashier and answering phone call. I have seen this happen at the location on Hollywood and Normandie in Hollywood CA. Train people well and supervise. Gross

You need to protect your workers better! Drivers shouldn’t handle cash, and stores should be providing PPE! How about a pay increase for the drivers that have to have to deal with sometimes crazy customers? Please do better for everyone’s sake.

We just got a pizza delivered and the driver had to have us sign a credit receipt which none of the other delivery services have us do. Also other services have been leaving the food on the porch to practice social distancing. Can your policies be adjusted during this time to protect your employees and customers. Thanks

If you are being so safe, the workers would be wearing gloves while handling the boxes and other equipment. Your current commercials show bare hands folding boxes and delivering those boxes. All workers should be wearing gloves throughout the process.

We decided to order with you based on the option for contact less delivery. We paid online, included the tip and left instructions as it stated for the delivery. Great concept, except we were approached by the delivery driver, closer than 6’, to tell us we needed to sign the papers. If a contact less service is offered, I think it should be just that.

The Washington St. Brentwood employees are hit-and-miss as to whether they wear gloves and masks. In the three minutes I was there to pick-up my online order, the pizza maker had the mask (a flimsly, below-food/health-standard, store-bought, one) BELOW her nose, other employees, standing inches from each other, were jostling or touching her, either to get by or just being friendly. At one point, she brought the mask below her mouth, for, seemingly, no reason at all. I wonder which people got the whole-mask pizzasor ones with the free contagion topping? =smh

While the CDC does not believe that the use of masks are necessary for healthy people, here is the big question: HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT SOMEONE IS HEALTHY? Not every sick person shows symptoms, immediately, and there may be carriers who will not get sick. Food preparers MUST take extra precautions. Why do you think they have "sneeze guards" at buffets, supermarkets, etc.?
